We have been exclusively retained to identify suitable candidates for:
Business Development Manager/Presales (with IT industry based in Botswana) -
The Business Development Manager will be a technically competent person with
proven IT skills in various technologies, databases, ERP and will be a
trusted advisor to the customers and prospective clients various technology
needs in the country assigned. Manage, support, and supervise the business
development department responsible for acquisition of new projects and
technologies. Meet customers and prospects to understand their technology
needs and work to identify the relevant solution/product/technology suitable
to meet the needs/pain identified. Support the local sales team is
technology proposition and bridging the gap of needs/pain and solution.
Training the local sales team/partners and technologies relevant to the
market assigned. Planning and preparing presentations of the company vast
solutions to potential customers. - Establishing and maintaining working
relationships. Communicating new product developments to prospective
clients. Responding to bids/tenders and assisting the sales team in a
technically responsive solution as per the client needs. Support marketing
activities, including trade/ scientific shows, mailings, etc. Initiate
marketing strategies and coordinate actions to influence the market. Locates
or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners;
discovering and exploring opportunities. Following up new business
opportunities and setting up meetings. Proactively develops and improve
products and services by researching industry and related events,
publications, and announcements. Set sales targets and define strategy to
achieve these targets and to follow the set strategy punctually.
Skills & Experience - Overall 5+ experience in the industry with a minimum
3 years+ of experience in a Business Development Manager role/Presale role.
Qualifications: Preferably a post graduate with an IT back ground.
-Certification from any leading software IT vendor on database or ERP
solution. Deep understanding of Microsoft technologies especially SharePoint
and CRM. Proven IT Solutions & Services sales management experience,
together with a good record of achieving targets. Experience of managing
multiple customers in the country assigned. Outstanding communication
skills, both oral and written, and both technical and non- technical, and
the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals in a professional
and service-oriented manner. Knowledge of multiple local language is an
added advantage but not a must.
